So You Want To Be A Dog Walker

There is nothing greater than the love of a dog. Their love is unconditional, unwavering, and knows no bounds. It is a pure and loyal bond that fills our lives with warmth, comfort, and endless joy. And when you get to be around them for a living, there is no such thing as a bad day.

Let me preface this post by saying that when I lost my beloved dog, Bruce, I found myself lost and overwhelmed with grief. I was trapped in a cycle of pain, longing for him, and seeking solace in my dreams, hoping his smiling face and wiggle bum would be there when I closed my eyes. Cry. Sleep. Repeat. That was my life. The experience made me realize the profound impact that losing a pet can have on our lives, a topic I'll explore in another post.

I want to emphasize how dog walking has truly transformed my life and given me a newfound sense of purpose. It was my mother who suggested getting involved with dog walking or pet sitting, and let me tell you - listen to your mother, kids! It has become my therapy, providing me with the courage to embrace the present moment and step outside of my comfort zone. The dogs I have the privilege to walk have become my greatest healers, offering unwavering support and companionship. Becoming a dog walker has been a life-changing career choice that I will forever be grateful for.

Being a dog walker is much more than just a job—it's a deeply rewarding and fulfilling profession that brings a multitude of perks. First and foremost, the joy and companionship of dogs make every day on the job an absolute delight. The genuine love and happiness they exude is contagious and can instantly lift your spirits.
